【摘要】:Equipmentandproceduresdescribedinthisguidearecomparativemethodsandareintendedforidentificationorsegregation,orboth,ofpiecesorlotsofmetalsthatweremixedorlosttheiridentityduringcertainmanufacturingoperations.Itispresumedthatallpiecesorlotsofmetalhavebeenpreviouslycheckedanddidmeetapplicablespecifications.Theequipmentandproceduresdescribedinthisguidemayalsobesuitableforidentifyingorsegregating,orboth,scrapmetals.1.1Thisguidecoverstheidentificationorsegregation,orboth,ofmixedmetallotsunderplantconditionusingtrainedplantpersonnel.1.2Theidentificationisnotintendedtohavetheaccuracyandreliabilityofproceduresperformedinalaboratoryusinglaboratoryequipmentunderoptimumconditions,andperformedbytrainedchemistsortechnicians.Theidentificationisnotintendedtoestablishwhetheragivenpieceorlotofmetalmeetsspecifications.1.3Segregationofcertainmetalcombinationsisnotalwayspossiblewithproceduresprovidedinthisguideandcanbesubjecttoerrors.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
