【摘要】:Althoughitispossibletoobserveandmeasureeachoftheseveralcharacteristicsofadetectorunderdifferentanduniqueconditions,itistheintentofthispracticethatacompletesetofdetectorspecificationsshouldbeobtainedunderthesameoperatingconditions.Itshouldalsobenotedthattocompletelyspecifyadetectorrsquo;capability,itsperformanceshouldbemeasuredatseveralsetsofconditionswithintheusefulrangeofthedetector.Thetermsandtestsdescribedinthispracticearesufficientlygeneralthattheymaybeusedregardlessoftheultimateoperatingparameters.Linearityandresponsetimeoftherecorderorotherreadoutdeviceusedshouldbesuchthattheydonotdistortorotherwiseinterferewiththeperformanceofthedetector.Thisrequiresadjustingthegain,damping,andcalibrationinaccordancewiththemanufacturerrsquo;directions.Ifadditionalelectronicfiltersoramplifiersareusedbetweenthedetectorandthefinalreadoutdevice,theircharacteristicsshouldalsofirstbeestablished.1.1Thispracticeisintendedtoserveasaguideforthetestingoftheperformanceofaphotometricdetector(PD)usedasthedetectioncomponentofaliquid-chromatographic(LC)systemoperatingatoneormorefixedwavelengthsintherange210to800nm.Measurementsaremadeat254nm,ifpossible,andareoptionalatotherwavelengths.1.2Thispracticeisintendedtodescribetheperformanceofthedetectorbothindependentlyofthechromatographicsystem(staticconditions)andwithflowingsolvent(dynamicconditions).1.3Forgeneralliquidchromatographicprocedures,consultRefs(1-9).1.4Forgeneralinformationconcerningtheprinciples,construction,operation,andevaluationofliquid-chromatographydetectors,seeRefs(10and11)inadditiontothesectionsdevotedtodetectorsinRefs(1-7).1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
