【摘要】:Testmethodsforchemicalanalysisofreactiveandrefractorymetalsareprimarilyintendedtotestsuchmaterialsforcompliancewithcompositionalspecifications.Itisassumedthatallwhousethisguidewillbetrainedanalystscapableofperformingcommonlaboratoryproceduresskillfullyandsafely.ItisexpectedthatworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratoryunderappropriatequalitycontrolpracticessuchasthosedescribedinGuideE882andPracticeE2437,aswellasinISO17025andISOGuide32.Thisguideisintendedtoaidanalyticalchemistrylaboratoriesintheanalysisofreactiveandrefractorymetalsandtheiralloyswhennospecificstandardtestmethodsareavailable.Theprinciplesincorporatedinthispracticecanalsobeappliedinlaboratoriesthatwishtovalidateanddocumentnon-standardtestmethods.Theanalysisofreactiveandrefractorymaterialsistypicallyperformedbyonlyasmallnumberoflaboratories.Fewoftheselaboratorieshaveanalyticalinstrumentationincommonforuseininterlaboratoryproficiencytestingprograms.Thisrequirestheuseofwithin-laboratorydevelopedtestmethodsthatvarybetweenlaboratories.Itisintendedthatthispracticewillgivegeneralguidancetoexperiencedpersonnelthatwillassisttheminthedevelopmentofaprocedurethatwillmeettheiranalyticalobjectives.PracticeE2438providesguidanceforthedevelopmentanddocumentationofanIn-HouseStandardOperatingProcedure(SOP).1.1Thisguidecoversavarietyofanalyticaltechniquesthathaveproventobeacceptablefortheanalysisofthereactiveandrefractorymetalstitanium,zirconium,niobium,hafnium,tantalum,molybdenum,tungsten,andvanadium.1.2TheprinciplesandtechniquesinthisguidecanbeusedbyISO17025compliantlaboratoriesthatneedtoimplementotherperformance-basedtestmethodsorneedtodocumentandvalidateextensionsofstandardtestmethods,ornon-standardtestmethods.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
