【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverschildcarriersthatmounttotherearofbicyclesinordertotransportchildrenoraccessoryloadswithamaximumweightof18kg(40lb).Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytochildcarriersthatmountinfrontofthehandlebars,ortothetoptube,headtube,orbehindthehandlebarsinfrontoftherider.Note18212;Intheinstructions,themanufacturermustwarntheriderthataloadaddedtothebicyclewilllessenthestabilityandaltertheridingcharacteristicsofthebicycle.Thiscomplicationisparticularlyimportantwhenridingwithchildrenwhoarenearthehighendoftheweightrange.1.2Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportions,Sections5,6,and7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
