【摘要】:ThisSAERecommendedPracticeprovidesthemethodtoassignnumericalvaluesofbrakeeffectiveness,usingdatafromsinglestationinertiadynamometereffectivenesstests,andtoidentifyauniformproceduretomarkthesevaluesontheedgeofbrakeblocksinexcessof12.7mm(0.51in)inthickness.Theedgemarkingsareintendedtoproviderelevantandmeaningfuldataonthenormalandhoteffectivenessofbrakeblocks,usingthereferencefullsizebrakeassembly,toaidinthecharacterizationofthesebrakeblockfrictionalproperties.Thisedgemarkingmethodologyisintendedtopermitaccurateidentificationoftheeffectivenessvaluesoverthefullwearlifeofthebrakeblock.Thisisaccomplishedbymeansofpermanentmarkingsononeedgeofthebrakeblock.
