【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationoftheviscosityofoilsat150Cand110sandat100Cand110s,usinghighshearratetapered-plugviscometermodelsBE/CorBS/C.Newtoniancalibrationoilsareusedtoadjusttheworkinggapandforcalibrationoftheapparatus.Thesecalibrationoilscoverarangefromapproximately1.8to5.9mPa-s(cP)at150Cand4.2to18.9mPa-s(cP)at100C.ThistestmethodshouldnotbeusedforextrapolationtohigherviscositiesthanthoseoftheNewtoniancalibrationoilsusedforcalibrationoftheapparatus.Ifitissoused,theprecisionstatementwillnolongerapply.Anon-Newtonianreferenceoilisusedtocheckthattheworkingconditionsarecorrect.Theexactviscosityappropriatetoeachbatchofthisoilisestablishedbytestingonanumberofinstrumentsindifferentlaboratories.TheagreedvalueforthisreferenceoilmaybeobtainedfromthechairmanoftheCoordinatingEuropeanCouncil(CEC)SurveillanceGroupforCECL-36-A90,orfromthedistributor.Applicabilitytoproductsotherthanengineoilshasnotbeendeterminedinpreparingthistestmethod.Thistestmethodusesthemillipascalseconds,mPa-s,astheunitofviscosity.Forinformation,theequivalentcgsunit,centipoise,cP,isshowninparentheses.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
