【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsrelatingtoasbestos-cementnonpressuresewerpipe,joints,andfittingssuitableforusewithgravityflow,intendedforsewerageanddrainageapplicationsfrompointofusetopointoftreatmentordisposal.Itdefinescertainconditionsofmanufacture,classification,characteristics,andacceptancetestsapplicabletotheseproducts.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Note18212;RubberringssuitableforusewiththispipearecoveredinSpecificationD1869.Note28212;Asgeneralguidancetoachievesafeandcleanconstruction-siteconditionswhenworkingwithasbestos-cementpipeproducts,theprocedurescoveredinAWWANo.M-16shallbefollowed.Note38212;Thisspecificationisissuedforproductstandardizationandpurchasingpurposesonly,anddoesnotincluderequirementsforinstallationortherelationshipsbetweenoperatingconditionsandthestrengthcharacteristicsofthevariousclassificationsofpipe.Thepurchaseriscautionedthathemustcorrelateinstallationandoperatingconditionswiththespecifiedcharacteristicsofthepipe.1.3Warning8212;Breathingofasbestosdustishazardous.Asbestosandasbestosproductspresentdemonstratedhealthrisksforusersandforthosewithwhomtheycomeintocontact.Inadditiontootherprecautions,whenworkingwithasbestos-cementproductsminimizethedustthatresults.Forinformationonthesafeuseofchrysoltileasbestos,referto"SafeUseofChrysotile:AManualonPreventiveandControlMeasures."1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificsafetyhazard,see1.3.
